Empire Review This movie goes to the dogs! - 3.25 out of 5  (5/21/2003) For a time, it seemed that Disney was fresh out of ideas so someone came up with the great idea to make live action remakes of some of their former hits. This didn't work so well in the case of "That Darn Cat" and "Flubber" but it seemed to work like a dream for "101 Dalmatians." The studio had a great idea in teaming a hot Director (John Hughes), a hot cast (Glenn Close) and an incredibly cute cast of co-stars.
