"An Absolutely Riveting Thoroughly Scary Experience!" -Los Angeles Times
When Kathy Thorn (Lee Remick) gives birth to a stillborn baby, her husband Robert (Gregory Peck) shields her from he devastating truth and substitutes an orphaned infant for their own -- unaware of the child's satanic origins.
The horror begins on Damien's fifth birthday when his nanny stages a dramatic suicide. Soon after, a priest who tries to warn Damien's father is killed in a freakish accident. As the death toll mounts, Robert realizes his son is the Antichrist and decides he must kill the boy to prevent him from fulfilling a cataclysmic prophecy.
Briskly paced and breathtakingly evil, The Omen is the first film in a classic four-part legacy of terror.

A good omen! - 4.25 out of 5 (8/1/2000)
"The Omen: Special Edition" is a perfect example of a classic film being made almost perfect by a classy DVD release.
Available separately or in a four pack which includes the three sequels (The fourth Omen movie: aptly title Omen IV is only available in the four-pack!) The first movie serves as a delicious appetizer to one of the most frightening series ever available on film and possibly one of the best ever to be served on DVD.
The story of Damien Thorn and his rise to power starts he

I saw this movie during its first theatrical run when I was about twelve years old. I didn't get it! I mean, this glass slab decapitates this one guy, but I didn't get it! But now I do, since I'm older, and I know about the things in the Bible as a Christian. The acting is very good, audio and video are great, movie is just plain awesome!!!! BUY IT
