A superb Blu-ray release of a superb film. Picture, sound, bonus features and packaging are all top-notch. The increased depth of image is apparent from the opening titles with those gaseous clouds floating over the images of galaxies, stars, and the moon and earth. The clarity of the images are matched by the sound of Bernard Herrmann's groundbreaking, magnificent score. A timeless story of mankind's threat to itself has only increased in relevance since 1951.
