Customer Review Moreau Not Bad... - 4.75 out of 5  (10/13/2001) I bet you thought you would never see someone praising this film. I like this film because it is far more interesting than most films that come out of Hollywood. Brando and Kilmer were superb in their roles, the only real failure acting wise is Thewlis - although he is better in this than he was in DRAGONHEART. Director John Frankenheimer - as usual - delivers the goods. So ignore what the critics said - and most reviewers - and give the film a chance. Great DVD from New Line - most studios   more >> Customer Review A waste of film - 2.75 out of 5  (4/17/1999) I have probaly never seen a film this badly made and acted in my whole life. In the 2 hours of pain that my brain goes through as I watch this, less then 1 minute of it is entertaining. The only good part is watching Marlon brando make a fool of himself and hurt his career. The DVD is featureless except for a trailor and the audio and video are only average. Rent it for a laugh even though it is not supposed to be funny.   more >> Customer Review Hands down the major film of the last 5 years - 1 out of 5  (12/6/1998) A film this bad can't be given anything other than a rating of 1 (since zero is not an option). Marlon Brando should be ashamed of himself, and Val Kilmer needs an ego reduction. Bad acting permeates this film like the stench of garbage in the hot sun. The effects are lame and the entire premise makes a mockery of the original. Don't buy this - ever. Instead, give the 20 bucks to a local wiseguy and have them beat you senseless.
