The Suburbs Make The Hood Look Good.
Get ready to kick it again with Ice Cube (Three Kings, The Players Club) as he moves to the burbs in this outrageous sequel!
Last Friday, Craig (Cube) kicked Debo's (Tiny Lister, Jr., The Fifth Element) butt. Now Debo is out for revenge, so Craig's dad smuggles him out of the hood and into the burbs to stay with his sex-crazed Uncle Elroy and cousin Day-Day. But between Day-Day's crazy ex-girlfriend, the gun-toting homies next door and a rumble with a record store owner, Craig is gonna wish he was back in South Central where it's safe!
With a red-hot soundtrack featuring Ice Cube, Lil' Zane, Wyclef Jean and the much-anticipated NWA reunion, this laugh riot will have you "screeching from start to finish!" (Jeff Millar, Houston Chronicle).

I can't wait until next Friday - 3.75 out of 5 (6/6/2000)
The original movie "Friday" was one of those films that seemed to transcend the masses to become popular to all audiences. Actually it was at the time the perfect party film for a Friday night. It had a fresh script, funny dialogue, decent acting and a strange little guy named Chris Tucker.
"Next Friday" tries to do what the original did. However it is lacking in a few details. First: the script is anything but fresh, it flashes back to the same cliches seen in the first movie. Though differ

Missing Chris Tucker...badly! - 3.5 out of 5 (1/28/2003)
Very disappointed with this second installment of "Friday' series. Unfortunately the omissision of Chris Tucker hurt this film. I found the replacement character played by Mike Epps annoying and un-funny.
I also found the script poorly written and the latino characters offensive and a ridiculously portrayed over the top. The only saving grace to this film was the soundtrack and the sharp picture. Definitely a rental.

Lots of fun - 4.5 out of 5 (1/21/2001)
DVD features are cool, and I like how the menus are set up. You just have to see it for yourself. Pretty creative.
