Synopsis
"A Great Film Filled With Fire And Passion." -Roger Ebert & The Movies

From acclaimed director Martin Scorsese (Casino, Taxi Driver) comes one of his most compelling and unforgettable movies. Nicolas Cage stars as Frank Pierce, a paramedic on the brink of madness from too many years of saving and losing lives. The Worst Movie Ever !!!! Nobody wants to trade it !!!! - 2.5 out of 5  (4/5/2001)
According with the cast (Cage, Goodman & Arquette), I thought this was going to be a great movie. Wrong ! I was very disappointed. I fell asleep at the middle of the movie and I didnīt want to watch it again ! How awful is, that we have DVD trade stores and no one wants to trade it because they say: "Nobody wants this movie" Donīt waste your money and you precious time. period.   more >>

In fact I would say that this movie plays more like a weird MTV music video to me. It does have great cinematography with its own unique style of doing things but that is about it. The characters NEVER develop enough for you to care about any of them, including Cage's character. To make a short story short I'll   more >>

The master of the streets 'Brings Out' a 'Dead' on Masterpiece...... - 4.25 out of 5  (5/12/2000)
There are still many talented filmmakers in the film industry, but I think Martin Scorsese maybe the greatest one living right now. After all, he made my all time favorite movie, 1990's GoodFellas. His Casino, Taxi Driver, and Mean Streets are also among my all time favorite films. What fascinates me about Scorsese is that he truly knows everything there is to know about the subject of his films, whether it is the mob, 9-ball pool, or the casinos in Vegas. Now, he's applied his knowledge once ag   more >>
