If you believe theiimpossible, theiincredible can come true.
"If you build it, he will come." With these words, Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella is inspired by a voice he can't ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe.
Supported by his wife Annie (Amy Madigan), Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true. Along the way he meets reclusive activist Terence Mann (James Earl Jones), the mysterious "Doc" Graham (Burt Lancaster) and even the legendary "Shoeless Joe" Jackson (Ray Liotta).
A heartwarming experience that has moved critics and audiences like no other film of this generation, Field Of Dreams is a glowing tribute to all who dare to dream.

A magical film - 4 out of 5 (8/14/2001)
I can distinctly remember the first time I saw Field of Dreams. A good friend of mine had seen it the night before, and told me that it was one of the greatest films he'd ever seen. He then described the plot to me and I was repulsed. I could not believe that he wanted me to see a Kevin Costner movie about a guy who mows down his cornfield so he can make a baseball diamond. I told him that I don't care for baseball and that cornfields are boring to look at, let alone to make a movie about. Howev

One of the best 'Feel Good' films of all time - 5 out of 5 (11/15/2001)
After Sept 11th and now the Air crash accident in NY, it is films like this that we turn to for 'escapism'. This film has all those qualities which make it a classic. After watching this film, with the tear jerking ending with thousands of cars 'comming to see', you will again feel that no matter what happens we will be OK and we will persevere and 'win through'. As with all of Costners films, his depth of acting and the emotion he brings 'feels' real. As in JFK, Field of dreams is an excelle

One of the best films ever made gets treated excellently on DVD! - 4.75 out of 5 (4/23/1999)
This is seriously a gem of a film that everyone must see to believe. No other film like this has ever been made before. No other film is as miraculous as this and makes you feel the way that it does. Wonderful performences all around and an excellent score by James Horner. This film is about following your dream, see it, see it, see it!
Even though the Audio is not 5.1 (minor gripe), the video is excellent. The documentary really digs deep into the making of the film, and is well made.
