On her majesty's secret service - 4.25 out of 5 (5/16/2000)
Most Bond critics agree that George Lazenby was almost the worst James Bond. Remember I said almost. I think the real honor goes to Timothy Dalton but I will save that discussion for other reviews.
I bring up the Lazenby issue because in most Bond fans opinion, On her Majesty's secret service is one of the best bond films made. It certainly was the one most faithful to the original novel it was based upon and at 2 hours and 22 minutes, it is one of the longest.

*Terrible theme song

Had Connery Starred, It Would Have Been The Best Ever - 4.25 out of 5 (6/22/2000)
I love this movie, even though I don't love George lazenby. I don't hate him, but it's absolutely heartbreaking that Connery left this one to someone else. Let's face it folks, when Bond got married it should have been Sean Connery standing next to Tracy...not George. I will say that even with Lazenby as Bond, this film stands out as special and different from other Bond films. Peter Hunt really pulled it all out to present a heartfelt and suspensful adventure. It's got darkness and edge to

simply one of the best bond films - 4.5 out of 5 (5/18/2000)
this one is great. lazenby's bond delivers well, the characters are actually deeper than the paper they are written on, and the action is enthralling. but for the mono soundtrack, this movie is virtual perfection.
the story is captivating in that it's a TRUE love story, a rarity in the bond franchise. this film takes the bond saga past only being a simple action film, and finds bond falling in love, and even getting married! the humanity of bond in this picture helps the viewer to identify wi
