It's The Most Outrageous Musical Comedy In Years.
Business blooms at Mushnik's Flower Shop when an exotic potted plant called Audrey II arrives. It turns out to be a carnivorous "mean, green mother from outer space," filling that little shop with lotsa horrors.
Little Shop Of Horrors first flowered in a low-budget 1960 Roger Corman movie, resprouted as a smash 1980 off-Broadway musical and now comes full circle in this 1986 movie musical adaptation of the stage hit with a score by multiple Academy Award winners Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
An all-star cast of comedy pros spreads tentacles of pleasure. And this DVD is packed with new and never-before-seen extras.

A fitting visit to a little shop! - 4.5 out of 5 (5/23/2000)

AAAAGH!! - 4 out of 5 (6/23/2000)
This movie is one of the nearly-forgotten greats, a stunning achievement both technically and artistically. And never before have man-eating plants been so truly captured.
The DVD is good, with decent video and audio transfers (although I lack a kickin' sound system, it sounded good to me.) There was only one problem, but it's a biggie.
In the commentary, Frank Oz mentions repeatedly the "real ending" of the movie, where the plant wins, Audrey dies in a touching scene, and the Audrey IIs

FEED ME! - 3.75 out of 5 (6/11/2000)
Well what can I say? A musical with NO bad things contained. A monster! A sadistic Dentist! A Nerd! and a Dipsy girl! all add up to one hell of a movie. Songs that will make you laugh and ones that will make you cry. The only problem with the DVD is it does not contain the FULL alternate ending which we are all so DESPERATE to see. All in all a FANTASTIC film!!!!!!
