The story is very week. But the acting was very very good though...   more >> Customer Review Best film of '96 - 4.25 out of 5  (3/21/1999) Fargo is a weird, twised, and demented movie. I LOVE IT!! Great performances all around, wonderfully dark, and full of twists and turns, Fargo is the Coens' best work. The picture has a couple of flaws but it's so slight I have no problem giving the best rating, and the audio is pretty good, but it's not 5.1 and the surround could have used more. Features are pretty run-of-the-mill except for the odd feature of being able to watch other movies' trailers, something eliminated from most later disc   more >> Customer Review Excellent movie - 4.25 out of 5  (12/4/1998) This is a great film, with suspense, and dark humor. The disc is well done, with a superb video transfer. Never has snow looked so good. The sound, on the other hand, could have been 5.1, but it's alright. I think Polygram is afraid to release their films in 5.1, or something. As far as buying it goes, I highly reccomend that you do so!   more >>
