What do drag queens, aspiring sex therapists and Tori Spelling have in common? They're part of a madcap night out in Manhattan for two frustrated guys that are desperate to find a place...any place.
Gabe (Christian Campbell) and Mark (J.P. Pitoc) aren't asking for much - just a simple one night stand. All they need is a place to seal the deal. Sound easy? Not when your neurotic best friend (Tori Spelling, The House of Yes, TV's "Beverly Hills, 90210") is trying to revive a dying musical career off-off-off- Broadway, your cabaret singing co-worker has just broken up with his boyfriend of seven years and the entire city seems set for a nervous breakdown.
It's one chaotic event after another as these two hopeful romantics try to stop the city so they can get off!

This trick is no treat! - 2.75 out of 5 (2/8/2000)
So, I pick up the box of "Trick" and see that the film is called "magical", "Sweet" and "engaging." I put it in the DVD player and I watch a few minutes until I see Tori Spelling making her singing debut and I wonder if these critics were on the movie payroll.
So I watch further and see that this is merely a subplot and she is supposed to be such a bad singer. Which alone qualifies her for an Oscar, cause at bad, she is good!

If you havent seen it yet..buy it or rent Trick!!! Its a nice old fashioned love story... Christian Bale is so frigin cute!!! And JP Picot is HOT! Basically Christian is a playwrite/songwriter and sees JP dancing in a bar-he's a go go boy....they meet and spend the night trying to find a place to fool around...Tori Spelling is really good as well...her scene in the coffee shop totally floored me...its pretty funny....theres quite a few characters that are good...

This movie was great...Tori rules !!! (man it took me about 30 mins just to calm down from the singing scene...only to have her do it again....ouch my chest hurts...)For a "Gay" movie it's one of the bettercones I've seen...Thumbs up!!! Buy it!!!

Great Gay film - 3.25 out of 5 (8/10/2001)
Trick is a great gay date movie. It's funny, touching and of course romantic. This is the only movie with Tori Spelling in that I like. She is good in it. The actors are good for the roles, and the sparks do fly between them. If you and your guy want a good date Flick, go with Trick.
