Robert DeNiro hasito get theiFBI off his case, theimob off his tail, andiCharles Grodin off his back!
Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) is a tough ex-cop turned bounty hunter. Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas (Charles Grodin) is a sensitive accountant who embezzled $15 million from the Mob, gave it to charity, and then jumped bail. Jack's in for a cool $100,000 if he can deliver The Duke from New York to L.A. on time. And alive.
Sounds like just another Midnight Run (a piece of cake in bounty hunter slang), but it turns into a cross-country chase. The FBI is after the Duke to testify - the Mob after him for revenge - and Walsh is after him to just shut up. If someone else doesn't do the job, the two unlikely partners may end up killing each other in this hilarious, action-filled blockbuster from producer-director Martin Brest.

I believe there's no better movie... - 3.5 out of 5 (5/31/2000)
I'd like to open with the fact this movie is simply the best movie you'll ever see, sure, it doesnt have the giant effects of "independance day" or the drama of "titanic" but in the end, it will touch your hearts and leave a sting in your soul harder than every movie you ever saw and ever will see, i guarantee you that, i saw this movie 7-8 times and every number of months i have to see it again, it's in my blood, it draws atmosphere like some kind of special holiday you really love, so, to conc

A great, underrated movie that deserves a better package - 3 out of 5 (6/15/1999)
One of the best movies of the 1980's, Midnight Run sadly remains one of the most underrated of our time. I bought the film on tape, laserdisc, and now DVD...and though the DVD looks better than the last two formats, the transfer is still a bit disappointing. First of all, why is there a lack of closed captions on the video? Why is the image so noticeably grainy and pixellated in some of the darker scenes? Why isn't there a full screen version of the movie on Side B? Although the image is wid

What a blast!!!! - 3.25 out of 5 (11/10/1998)
This movie rocks! If you haven't seeen this one, it's a classic. The humor never stops, and Grodin steals the show in this Martin Brest film. The only drawback to this movie is the lack of features on the disk. There simply is none. The video is great, without any glitches or artifacts, but the sound could be worked on. If you haven't seen this, rent or buy it today!!!
