Go Flash Go! - 3 out of 5 (6/26/2000)
The courts seem to divided into two different sets of people: Those who like "Flash Gordon" and those who think it a mindless piece of fluff.
My opinion stands between the two. I can see holes in the film but I have to admit that Dino De Laurentis' heart was in the right place with this big budget science fiction extravaganza. The effects are cheesy but that was the heart of the original serials, the character that was first introduced onto the comic strip pages also defined the word cheese

Greatest Campy-Sci-Fi Movie of all Time - Thats ALL!!! - 3.75 out of 5 (4/21/2000)
You have to love this movie! I have seen several edits of this film and the DVD version seems to be a combination of them. There are some scenes that are butchered in the pan-and-scan version (like where Voltan and his boys are attacking Warrocket Ajex) that are saved by the widescreen format. If you love the movie - you'll love the Disk!

GREAT MOVIE-Average DVD - 3.25 out of 5 (5/8/1999)
One of my all-time favorite movies. The dvd is pretty good except for the audio, which is pretty flat. Also, some extra features would have been nice, but I'm just happy that is has been released.

Great movie soured by poor DVD. - 2.5 out of 5 (1/25/1999)
I was honestly looking forward to this disc. By reading the other reviews here, I assumed it would be a good addition. Unfortunately, the DVD is plagued with poor transfer quality. The image is consitantly grainy (very grainy). It was obviously thrown together quickly. Now I'm not talking about the video having artifacts of low bitrate encoding -- I mean the video was grainy, like it was mastered from a lower quality VHS tape.
But still, the movie is good and probably better than the VHS coun
