For those companies out there wondering how to release television series episodes on DVD, please direct your attention to 20th Century Fox and its incredible X-FILES Season One Collector's Set! Containing all 24 of the first season's episodes, plus a disc full of supplements, this is easily the best presentation of a TV series on DVD to date.

The Truth is out there - 3.5 out of 5 (4/19/2004)
I never got into the X-Files when it was on TV. Recently I have been watching the reruns on FX and I got hooked. So, I decided to pick up this box set of Season 1. Holy crap is this a great show!!! I have never been so hooked on a show ever! So, now I watch these episodes everyday and am now up to Season 3 and plan on purchasing all season box sets! This television series is a must for anyone who likes sci-fi!

I am very impressed by this set. I was about 8 or 9 years old when X-Files first premeired and i can honestly admit i was there since day one and being the age i was i found alot of it very scary. But that kind of thing interested me back then and still does to be honest. So i decided to give this a try... the price was high ($139.99) but since i had so many memories of this show i had to buy it. I wasnt dissapointed. Allow me to jump on the bandwagon by repeating previous reviews - this boxed set, along with the other two, is simply EXCELLENT. I will admit, I was only a casual fan of the X-Files, tuning in only about once a month. I've been eyeing this collection in the stores lately, and just 2 weeks ago I said "What the hell," and picked it up.
