Great transfer from a 1993 classic - 3.75 out of 5 (6/17/2002)
This is no doubt the best Batman animated movie ever. This tops Return of the Joker because this movie has everything from Action, Drama, suspense, and romance! It's really sad to see that there was no special features except chapter selection screen, original trailer, and the option to choose English or French audio and subtitles. Great movie for all but a little scary for children so be careful while watching this in front of kids.

Many believe that this film is better than all the live-action Batman films, particuarly the horrid ones directed by Joel Schumacher, the destroyer of the Batman movie franchise. This film is very violent for a cartoon, and lots of murders are comitted by the antagonist, the mysterious Phantasm. You won't believe this is an animated movie, and you'll get that message, from the movie itself, to the ending song.
The movie it's just great!!! Very rare coming from an animated series. The story is very good and very well told. Everyone can and will enjoy it.
I'm not going to say anything, because I won't spoil it, just that you will encounter many surprises and the movie will keep you in your seat till the end.
