Customer Review Banderas leaves typecasting behind. - 3.75 out of 5  (4/13/2001) This John McTiernan/Michael Crichton vehicle of an outcast Arab (Banderas) meeting Norse warriors at first seemed a bit preposterous. With a supporting cast including Omar Sharif I was proved wrong. As with any film there are occassional holes but as the story progressed it was interesting to see Banderas' character study each Norseman and learn their language over a period of time. All the action scenes are everything that we've come to expect from action director McTiernan. Give it a chance, I   more >> Customer Review Highly Enjoyable ! - 4.25 out of 5  (2/10/2000) I missed this film at the cinema and so was really looking forward to seeing it on DVD - I tried to not be put off by the bad reviews and I'm glad I wasn't because, although far from perfect, this is a GREAT friday night action movie. It is beautifully shot and does have some cool set pieces - although it could have been a little more gory but it still entertains. I liked all the cast and could easily sit through it again.
